Abstract

Obtaining events from time series flow is the basis of time series flow processing.Most of the current research uses the traditional threshold determination method to query data points in the time series flow to obtain the event information.In a real-world scenario,an event is usually defined as an exception that contains multiple pieces of information over a continuous period of time,yet existing methods cannot quickly locate and adequately capture these exceptions.Aiming at the problems of low efficiency and poor accuracy of existing methods,this paper proposes a method for obtaining time series flow events based on variable multi-level time windows.Specifically,the method first uses a median filter to preprocess the original data,which improves the obtaining accuracy to a certain extent.Then an STA(Short term averaging)/LTA(Long term averaging)based event triggering algorithm is proposed to locate the approximate range of the start point and end point of the exception.Finally,the start and end points of the exception are precisely located based on AIC(Akaike information criterion)rules,so as to obtain the complete information of the exception and time series flow events.Experimental results show that the proposed method has significant advantages in execution efficiency and accuracy compared with existing methods.
