Modernity and the Narratology of New Poetry
摘要
Abstract
The narrative tradition in Chinese poetry has a long history.The narrative quality,as a poetic construct,is widely present in various types of poetry,including narrative poems,lyric poems,landscape poems,and philosophical poems.However,the narrative quality as a structural poetic function and meaning is an inevitable outcome of the modernity pursuit and modern poetic theory transformation of new poetry in China.Professor Yang Siping's new book,Narratology of Chinese New Poetry,not only examines the narrative theories and historical practices in the century-long development of Chinese new poetry from the overall perspective of"modernity",but also integrates and elevates them from the perspective of poetic ontology based on flourishing contemporary narrative theories.The postmodern spirit in"modernity"provides a powerful ideological impetus for the author to break through the previous fixed understanding and thinking inertia of new poetry narrative research and successfully discover and summarize the"narrative tradition"of Chinese new poetry.关键词
