The Emergence,Anxiety,and Choice of Narrative in Chinese New Poetry

Abstract
The emergence of narrative in Chinese new poetry is a comprehensive poetic phenomenon viewed from a multidimensional perspective.From the"poetry revolution"to the vernacular literature movement,to the new poetry movement,and eventually to the grand liberation of poetic forms—from the narrative tendencies in poetic language to formal experiments with narrative modes—Chinese new poetry ultimately underwent a process of self-renewal.Using Yang Siping's Narrative Studies of Chinese New Poetry as a point of comparison,this article explores the narrative genes,connotations,and formative causes underpinning the existence of Chinese new poetry.It seeks to clarify,on a genealogical level,the anxieties and choices faced by Chinese new poetry in navigating the tensions between critique and inheritance,innovation and transplantation.关键词
