文化传承创新视域下"文献"概念新解
A New Interpretation of the Concept of"Wenxian"(文献)from the Perspective of Cultural Inheritance and Innovation

Abstract
The Chinese term"Wenxian"(文献),originating from The Analects of Confucius(论语),has undergone significant conceptual evolution.Based on a review of this conceptual evolution,this study further explores its ritualistic roots through an analysis of references to"jackals offering beasts"and"otters sacrificing fish"in Xia Xiaozheng(夏小正),a chapter from The Book of Rites of Dai the Elder(The Da Dai Li Ji大戴礼记),which produces three key findings.It reveals that the formation of the"Wenxian"(文献)concept is closely linked to ancient sacrificial rituals.First,the natural sacrificial behavior of jackals inspired ancient Chinese pre-meal rituals.Second,the phenomenon of"otters sacrificing non-kin"contributed to the Confucian principle of"humaneness as personhood."Third,systematic observations of otter rituals informed the ceremonial protocols for human sacrificers,embodying the Confucian ideal of"inner virtue expressed through ritual propriety."The study concludes that in the digital age,"Wenxian"(文献)should be redefined to include both recorded knowledge and information systems,while maintaining its essential humanistic core.关键词
