Abstract

In view of the high dependence of mine filling cementing material on cement and the resulting high carbon emissions,this study innovatively introduced Ca(OH)2 and Na2CO3 as mixed alkali activators to prepare Ca(OH)2-Na2CO3 activated coal gangue and slag filling cementitious materials(CACS).The effects of alkali activator composition,Ca(OH)2-Na2CO3 concentration,coal gangue powder(CGP)content and slurry mass con-centration on the properties of filling materials were studied.The microstructure character-istics of hydration products were analyzed by XRD,FT-IR,TGA and SEM.Finally,the hydration mechanism was revealed.The results show that an increase in the proportion of Ca(OH)2-Na2CO3 leads to a decrease in slump flow,and the compressive strength of the specimen first increases and then decreases.In the range of 5%-8%Ca(OH)2-Na2CO3 concentration,the strength of the specimen increases significantly(with an increasing rate of 101%-113%).However,when the content of the Ca(OH)2-Na2CO3 increases to 14%,the strength increasing rate decreases to 10%-40%.The addition of 0%-10%CGP can not only improve fluidity but also increase compressive strength.However,an excessive addition can reduce the overall strength because part of CGP does not participate in the hydration reaction.When the slurry mass concentration is 80%,the compressive strength has the highest increasing rate.Microstructure studies showed that the main hy-dration products are trapezionite crystal,C-(A)-S-H gel,N-A-S-H gel,hydrotalcite and calcite.
