Design of Plug Seedling End-effector Based on EDEM-ADAMS Coupling Simulation

Abstract
In order to solve the problem of poor stability and consistency of the existing clip-on end-effector in seedling picking operation,a plug seedling end-effector based on multi-link mechanism was designed.According to the structural composition and working principle of the end-effector,kinematic model was established by the vector equation method,and the overall structural parameters were designed according to the force on the substrate and the root distribution.The virtual prototype of the end effector was constructed and simulated by ADAMS.The results showed that the structural pa-rameters meet the needs of the plug seedling picking work,and the correctness and feasibility of the design were verified.The plug seedling matrix model was established in EDEM,and the working process of the plug seedling matrix clipped by the end effector was coupled simulation by EDEM-ADAMS,and the stress and deformation of the matrix particles in the process of seedling needle insertion were analyzed.Taking the clamping time and clamping angle as the experimental fac-tors,the maximum deformation and maximum contact force of the matrix particles as the experimental indexes,the experi-mental design was carried out.When the clamping angle of the seedling needle was 14.9°,the maximum deformation and contact force of the matrix particles were the smallest.In addition,the clamping time had no significant effect on the maxi-mum deformation and contact force of the matrix particles.The research results could provide reference for improving the working efficiency of plug seedling transplanter.关键词
