Abstract
In the 29th year of the Guangxu reign(1903),Jiang Fu visited Japan and recorded his observations daily in the Fuyou Diary(renamed Diary of East Asian Trip upon publication),accompanied by An Outline of Japanese Education in Reply to Friends' Questions.Diary of East Asian Trip reflects his concerns about China's educational status and thoughts on its future development.Analysis shows that Jiang Fu emphasized moral education,advocating learning from Japan's successful moral education experience based on China's national conditions and cultural traditions.He proposed:upholding Confucianism as the guiding principle of school moral education,highlighting patriotism as the theme of moral education,emphasizing the role of"shame"in moral cultivation,and improving moral education effectiveness through practical measures such as early childhood moral education,textbook and teaching method construction,and music education.His moral educa-tion thoughts still carry significant reference value today.关键词
