Abstract

This study investigates the effects of different salinity levels in sandy saline soils on rice yield,quality and salt control in Xingqing District,Yinchuan City,Ningxia.A comparative barrel planting experiment was conducted to analyze the variability in rice growth,photosynthesis,yield,quality and salt control across three salinity levels:Z1(total salt content of 3.58 g/kg),Z2(4.49 g/kg)and Z3(6.34 g/kg),all under the same integrated saline improvement measures.Results indicate that as soil salinity increased,rice plant height,photosynthetic index,yield indices,straight-chain starch content,viscosity and palatability values decreased,while the soil desalination rate increased.Under the integrated model conditions,the water use efficiency of rice in the Z1 treatment was 36.38%and 37.95%higher than that in the Z2 and Z3 treatments,respectively,while the soil desalination rates were 5.92%and 17.63%lower,respectively.Thus,the Z1 treatment is identified as the optimal treatment.
