Dynamic Stress Response of Defective Ballastless Track and Subgrade Under Wheel Rolling Action

Abstract
To explore the impact of defects in the ballastless track subgrade of high-speed railways,a detailed wheel-track-subgrade-foundation coupling dynamic model has been developed.This model employs a wheel-rail rolling contact algorithm to describe the dynamic interaction between the wheel and rail.It replaces the infinite domain foundation with a three-dimensional viscoelastic static-dynamic unified artificial boundary,considering the finite elasticity of the substructure beneath the track and the initial static state before the wheel starts rolling.The model simulates the wheel accelerating from rest to 45 km/h and then continuing to roll at that constant speed.Under these conditions,the dynamic stress responses caused by the failure of the rubber pad directly beneath the rail seat,the voids in the track slab,the voids in the cement-asphalt(CA)mortar layer,and the voids in the surface layer of the subgrade are investigated.The results indicate that the failure of the rubber pad can lead to changes in the tensile and compressive nature of the dynamic stress in the track slab,as well as increases and decreases in the magnitude of the dynamic stress components.The stress path in the surface layer of the subgrade changes significantly,with a notable increase in intensity;the variation of dynamic stress with depth and the abrupt changes at the interface are significantly larger than in the normal model.Failure at the unit scale only has a significant impact on adjacent units,with little effect on units further away,and the impact on the track slab is greater than that on the surface layer of the subgrade.The complete failure of the rubber pad significantly alters the vertical dynamic stress spectrum of the track slab and the surface layer of the subgrade.关键词
