Abstract
In order to study the sealing ability of faults to coal seam gas and deeply understand the relationship between faults and coal seam gas storage,on the basis of summarizing the fault sealing mechanism proposed by predecessors,a quantitative evaluation method of fault sealing ability is proposed from the perspectives of internal structure of fault zone and stress state of section.Based on engineering examples,the influence of fault sealing ability on gas occurrence in coal mining face is analyzed.The research shows that the fault sealing has a controlling effect on the storage and migration of coal seam gas.The gas emission increased significantly during the roadway excavation through the closed fault,and the gas emission during the open fault was significantly lower than the normal level.The study of fault sealing capacity is of great significance for deeply understanding the occurrence and migration laws of coal seam gas and refined gas management in fault areas,and reducing the frequency of gas dynamic disasters.关键词
