Power Flow Optimization in High Renewable Penetration Grids Using Hybrid Power Flow Controller Control Modes

Abstract
To address the issue of line overload under N-1 faults caused by the uncertainty of new energy in the high proportion of new energy regional power network,a power flow optimization method for power network considering uncertainties in new energy and applies the control mode of hybrid power flow controller(HPFC)is proposed.Firstly,a steady-state calculation model adaptable to multi-line control for HPFC is established,along with specified operational constraints for HPFC under different control modes.Subsequently,an optimization model for power network optimal power flow applies HPFC control modes is formulated,with the objectives of minimizing system active power losses and line load rates while accounting for N-1 security constraints and HPFC operational limits.Utilizing fuzzy C-means clustering,a set of scenarios representing new energy output and load uncertainty is constructed,and a multi-objective multi-verse optimization(MOMVO)algorithm is employed to solve the proposed optimization model.Ultimately,the proposed optimal power flow method was applied to the Northwestern power grid in Nantong.The results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively enhances the system's economic efficiency and static security,with the calculated outcomes exhibiting good stability.关键词
