Research Overview on 3D Mesh Simplification Algorithms and GIS Application Based on Deep Learning

Abstract
With the advent of the digital age,the widespread application of 3D models has led to a continuous pursuit of efficient 3D mesh simplification technology.Deep learning,as a powerful pattern learning tool,has emerged in the field of 3D mesh simplification in recent years,bringing new opportunities and challenges to 3D mesh simplification.Firstly,a comprehensive review was conducted on existing 3D mesh simplification algorithms.The system has summarized the main methods and frameworks for 3D mesh simplification using deep learning techniques in current literature,including deep learning structures such as mesh convolutional neural networks and graph convolutional neural networks.Subsequently,the application of deep learning 3D mesh simplification technology in fields such as geographic information systems,graphic rendering,and computer-aided design was introduced in detail.Highlighting the potential value of deep learning in improving render-ing efficiency,reducing network transmission overhead,and spatial analysis and querying.Finally,the full text is summarized and the future development direction of simplification algorithms is discussed.关键词
