Abstract

In order to explore the applicability of X-band water conservancy rain measurement radar in the Sanmenxia-Xiaolangdi section of the Yellow River,based on the monitoring data of radar and rainfall stations in the reservoir area of Xiaolangdi Key Water Cmtrol Project,the accuracy of radar monitoring rainfall and nowcasting rainfall was evaluated by root mean square error,correlation coefficient,relative average deviation,average relative error,structural similarity,peak signal-to-noise ratio and other indicators.The results show that the rainfall moni-tored by radar is close to that monitored by rainfall station,the dispersion is low,the correlation coefficient is greater than 0.500,the root mean square error is less than 6.000 mm,and the absolute value of the average relative error is less than 0.130.The rainfall area of the radar monitoring surface rainfall is basically consistent with the rainfall area of the rainfall station interpolation surface rainfall.The radar measured value is generally overestimated,especially in the heavy rainfall center area,but there is a certain underestimation in the radar detection edge area.The overall details and contour features of the radar area rainfall map are more obvious,and the monitoring accuracy is significantly higher than that of the rainfall station.The overall shape of the radar 1-hour and 3-hour forecast field is generally consistent with the actual field,and the rainfall location is relatively close.The 3-hour forecast effect is lower than the 1-hour forecast effect.The forecast score decrea-ses with the increase of rainfall threshold.
