草地引导网陷阱系统对青藏高原草地害鼠的持续控制
A grassland guidance trap system for sustainable rodent management on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau

Abstract
The dominant rodent species in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau grasslands are primarily the plateau pi-kas and plateau zokors.Over the long term,these rodents have posed a serious threat to grassland vegeta-tion,contributing to significant degradation in certain areas and posing major challenges to grassland conserva-tion.Currently,chemical treatments are the main method of rodent control.However,due to the vast scale and harsh environmental conditions of the plateau,these measures have proven largely ineffective,making ro-dent infestations a persistent issue for grassland protection.This research designed a novel system,the Grassland Guidance Trap System(GGTS),to control rodent population density.In controlled plot experi-ments,after 30 days of continuous operation,plots equipped with 2 and 5 GGTS units achieved control rates of 42.54%and 52.24%,respectively.The system exhibited a cumulative effect over time,with the control rates in the 5-unit plot stabilizing at around 60%after 90 days.In large-scale open field trials,a 9-km-long GGTS installation achieved a control rate of 38.41%at a distance of 496 m after 630 days of operation,indi-cating that GGTS can sustainably control grassland rodent pests on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.Research over recent years has demonstrated that the GGTS enables sustainable,efficient,and continuous capture grassland rodents pests.The development and implementation of this technology provide a promising solu-tion for the long-term control of rodent populations and the protection of grassland ecosystems on the plateau.关键词
