草鱼cdx2基因密码子偏好性与进化分析
Codon bias and evolutionary analysis of the cdx2 gene in grass carp(Ctenopharyngodon idella)

Abstract
This study explored the codon bias formed in the evolution of cdx2 gene in grass carp(Ctenopharyn-godon idella)and its phylogenetic relationship with certain animals(Bos taurus,Gallus gallus,Homo sapiens,Mus musculus,Polypterus senegalus,Rattus norvegicus,Sus scrofa,Xenopus tropicalis),providing insights into the heterologous expression and molecular regulation research of the cdx2 gene in grass carp.In this study,17 cdx2 genes from grass carp and 8 other animals were utilized,employing Codon W and EMBOSS tools to make sta-tistical analysis of the codon bias parameters.Subsequently,SPSS and MEGA tools were used to analyze codon bias and gene clustering,respectively.The results showed that the cdx2 gene in grass carp exhibited the strongest codon bias for CUG and there were 7 high-frequency codons of the cdx2 gene in 9 species,all of which ended in C/G,CUG being the optimal codon.The effective number of codons(ENC)for the cdx2 gene in 9 animals ranged from 33.01 to 58.08,and the codon adaptation index(CAI)was much less than 1,indicating weak codon preference.Natural selection is an important driving force behind the cdx2 codon usage biases in most animals.The cdx2 gene has different biases for synonymous codons either in different animal species or in the same animal species.The clustering results based on the relative synonymous codon usage(RSCU)values of animal cdx2 genes were similar to those based on the phylogenetic tree,though slightly less accurate.关键词
