Abstract

To investigate the effects of different coverage rates of Myriophyllum elatinoides in Pelteobagrus fulvidra-co culture ponds and to provide a scientific basis for establishing an integrated culture model,five coverage levels of M.elatinoides(0%,10%,20%,30%,and 40%)were implemented in the ponds.The application effects of M.elatinoides at different coverage levels in the integrated pond culture system of P.fulvidraco were evaluated by monitoring the growth of M.elatinoides,the growth performance and survival rate of P.fulvidraco,and changes in water physicochemical parameters.The results showed that:(1)M.elatinoides planting in P.fulvidraco culture ponds had little effect on plant length,plant weight and number of branches,but a 40%coverage rate significantly reduced the average root length(9.01 cm)of M.elatinoides in November(P<0.05).(2)The final average body weight and survival rate of P.fulvidraco showed an apparent trend of"low-high-low"with the increase of M.elatinoides coverage.Notably,the group with 30%coverage had a significantly higher average body weight[(86.40±6.76)g]compared to all other groups,and its survival rate[(94.05±4.74)%]was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).(3)M.elatinoides planting effectively reduced the levels of NH4+-N,NO2--N,NO3--N,TP,SRP and CODMn in P.fulvidraco culture ponds,and increased the dissolved oxygen(DO).The best purification effect was obtained in 30%treatment.In conclusion,planting M.elatinoides at an approximate coverage rate of 30%in P.fulvidraco culture ponds can enhance both the culture performance of P.fulvidraco and water quality.
