Abstract
The two important pillars of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)are medicine and treatment,with the former being the art and the latter being the technique.This review discusses Professor Zhu Zhiyou's viewpoint on the'same medicine,different effects'in TCM and shares his medication experience:special dosages,special preparations,and special combinations significantly impact efficacy;the clinical effects of Chinese herbs are delicate and variable.The efficacy differs when the same origin is used in different parts of the plant,at different harvest times,or with different processing methods.Clinical efficacy can also be consistent among different origins.Clinical workers in TCM should master and flexibly apply these principles.关键词
