Abstract

To improve the efficiency of mushroom bottle-digging operations,the discrete element parameters of the culture medium were determined and optimized using a combination of physical and simulation tests.First,the range of discrete element parameters for the culture medium was determined through various physical tests.Subsequently,a simulation model was constructed using particle modeling software,and a significance test of the particle angle of repose was conducted to identify the significant factors as follows:Poisson's ratio,medium-medium collision restitution coefficient,medium-medium static friction coefficient,and medium-medium dynamic friction coefficient.Next,the steepest ascent method was employed to further narrow the parameter ranges,followed by a response surface experiment to establish a regression model.Analysis of variance was used to determine the influence of each factor on the angle of repose,yielding the optimal parameter combination:poisson's ratio of 0.29,medium-medium collision restitution coefficient of 0.28,medium-medium static friction coefficient of 0.44,and dynamic friction coefficient of 0.14.Finally,the angle of repose of the simulated packing body was compared with that of the physical stacked body,and no significant difference was found,confirming that this parameter combination could be used as the discrete element simulation model parameters for the mushroom bottle-digging process.
