Summary of Best Evidence for Prevention and Management of Postoperative Pulmonary Complica-tions in Patients with Gastric Cancer

Abstract
Objective To summarize the evidence on the prevention and management of postoperative pulmonary complications in patients with gastric cancer,aiming to provide a reference for clinical practice.Methods Based on the"6S"Hierarchy of Evidence-Based Resources,evidence on the prevention or management of postoperative pulmonary complications in patients with gastric cancer was systematically searched from practice guidelines,expert consensuses,clinical decisions,summaries of evidence,systematic reviews and randomized controlled trials in domestic and overseas guidelines,professional society websites and databases from January 2014 to April 2024.Literature screening,quality assessment as well as evidence extraction and integration were conducted by investigators trained in evidence-based nursing.Results A total of 16 articles were included,comprising 1 clinical decision,2 guidelines,5 summaries of evidence,2 expert consensuses and 6 systematic reviews.On this basis,22 pieces of best evidence were summarized regarding 6 aspects:risk assessment,pulmonary rehabilitation training,anesthesia and analgesia,mechanical ventilation,nutrition and gastrointestinal decompression,and health education.Conclusion The summarized best evidence on the prevention and management of postoperative pulmonary complications in patients with gastric cancer is scientifically rigorous and comprehensive.Healthcare providers should apply this evidence based on individual assessments and specific clinical settings.关键词
