Abstract

Solid wastes from Cu-Pb-Zn joint smelting process is important for resource recovery and environment protection.It is of significance for investigation of production and discharge characteristics and analysis of material flow,which is helpful for enhancing comprehensive recovery rate of valuable metals and pollution control of toxic elements.In this study,solid wastes discharged from Cu-Pb-Zn smelting base in Hunan province were taken for example,combined the material input and output and balance accounting,Cu,Pb,Zn,As,and Cd elements flow have been analyzed.Metal recovery rate and toxic metals removal rate during solid wastes treatment and disposal were compared of single metal smelting process and Cu-Pb-Zn joint smelting process.The results indicated that slag tailings,fuming slag and volatile kiln slag were the largest amount solid wastes for Cu(3570kg/t),Pb(1031kg/t)and Zn(965kg/t),respectively.Comprehensive utilization rate of solid wastes from Cu-Pb-Zn joint smelting process were higher than 98%,wherein 4%~20%owns to the joint processing,solid wastes treatment rate of single metal smelting process is 79%~95%.
