Abstract
In view of the serious challenge of global warming and the realization of China's"Dual-carbon"strategy,the quantitative analysis of the carbon sink effect generated by the operation of large hydropower station has guiding significance for evaluating the carbon reduction and emission reduction effect of hydropower development,and at the same time,it can provide assistance for the further high-quality and sustainable development of hydropower industry.Taking Nuozhadu Hydropower Station in the Lancang River Basin as an example,the average annual carbon sink generated by the power station instead of fossil energy generation is calculated as 5 008.1 thousand tons based on the average annual power generation of the power station,and at the same time,the average annual carbon emission from reservoir water body is calculated as 12.7 thousand tons by adopting the emission factor method based on the area of reservoir corresponding to the normal storage level.Based on the land use data before and after reservoir storage,the MODIS data products,and regional precipitation and temperature data,the loss of carbon stored in the vegetation of the reservoir inundation area and the loss of carbon absorbed by photosynthesis of the original vegetation per year are calculated to be 6 548.6 thousand tons and 251.8 thousand tons,respectively.By calculating the difference of above carbon sinks and carbon sources,it is concluded that the total amount of carbon sinks cumulatively produced by the Nuozhadu Hydropower Station from its commissioning to the end of 2024 is 43.082 4 million tons,and the economic value of carbon sinks is 6.082 billion-9.84 billion RMB based on the listed price of the first fulfillment period in the national carbon emissions trading market.关键词
