Impact of new-type digital infrastructure on economic development levels in the Yellow River Basin

Abstract
Against the backdrop of China's national strategy for high-quality economic development in the Yellow River Basin,this paper constructs an index system to measure new-type digital infrastructure and economic development levels based on the panel data of nine provinces in the Yellow River Basin from 2013 to 2022.This paper integrates spatial econometric models and panel threshold regression models to empirically examines the impact of new-type digital infrastructure on regional economic development levels.This paper finds that new-type digital infrastructure significantly promotes the economic development levels in both local and neighboring regions,demonstrating a positive spatial spillover effect.But when the construction of new-type digital infrastructure crosses a single threshold value of 0.2896,the positive marginal impact on economic development levels weakens.The economic promoting effect exhibits regional and resource endowment heterogeneity,with more prominent marginal effects observed in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River and resource-based provinces.关键词
