Abstract

Fiber laser,as a novel alternative light source for selective laser sintering(SLS)technology,demonstrates superior beam quality and stability compared to CO2 lasers,while enhancing processing efficiency.In the study,fiber laser was employed as the light source in SLS to prepare blended powder of nylon 6/glass beads/glass fibers(PA6/GB/GF).Comprehensive characterization and analysis were conducted by the morphology,DSC temperature curves,crystal structure,and particle size of the composite.By initially exploring the SLS process parameters and combining the mechanical properties and fracture morphologies of sintered specimens under different laser powers,a comprehensive evaluation was conducted.The optimal process parameters for PA6/GB/GF blends in fiber laser SLS processing were determined to be:Preheating temperature of 208℃,laser power of 130 W,scanning spacing of 0.40 mm,and layer thickness of 0.15 mm.Under these conditions,the tensile strength of the composite specimens reached a maximum of 69.50 MPa.
