Roles and Mechanisms of Lysine Crotonylation in Animal Physiological Development and Disease Occurrence
摘要
Abstract
Lysine crotonylation is a newly discovered posttranslational modification,which plays an impor-tant role in human physiological development and disease occurrence.This review summarized the molecular mechanisms of enzymatic and metabolic regulation in the reversible process of lysine crotonylation,and also discussed how dynamic changes of crotonylation influence animal physiological development and pathogene-sis.Although the research on lysine crotonylation has achieved remarkable progress,there is still conside-rable unknown territory in this field.In future research,identifying specific regulatory proteins for lysine crotonylation and developing therapeutic strategies through modulating cellular lysine crotonylation levels would be particularly prioritized.关键词
