温经健腰汤治疗寒湿痹阻型腰椎间盘突出症的临床观察
Clinical observation on Wenjing Jianyao Decoction(温经健腰汤)in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation with cold-dampness obstruction

Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Wenjing Jianyao Decoction(温经健腰汤,WJJYD)in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation(LDH)with cold-dampness obstruction.Methods A total of 84 patients of LDH with cold-damp obstruction admitted to our hospital from July 2023 to December 2023 were selected and divided intothe treatment group and a control group using a random number table method,with 42 cases in each group.The control group received basic treatment for LDH as recommended by the guide-lines,while the treatment group received WJJYD orally in addition to the basic treatment received by the control group.Both groups were treated for 14 days.The changes in the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores,Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)scores,and Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)scores were observed before treatment,during treatment and at follow-ups.Efficacy was evaluated at 4 weeks.Results The total effective rate in the treatment group(95.24%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(64.28%),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in TCM syndrome scores,VAS scores,ODI scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After treat-ment,the treatment group exhibited lower TCM syndrome scores,VAS scores,and ODI scores,and higher JOA scores compared to the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion WJJYD combined with basic lumbar treatment can im-prove therapeutic outcomes for LDH,alleviates clinical symptoms,which is worthy of clinical promotion.关键词
