Technology Finance,New Quality Productivity,and Innovation Efficiency of High-Tech Industries

Abstract
Based on panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2012 to 2022,this paper constructs a benchmark regression model,mediation effect model,and panel threshold model to quantitatively analyze the relationship between technology finance,new quality productivity,and innovation efficiency of high-tech industries.The research results indicate that technology finance has a significant positive impact on the innovation efficiency of high-tech industries,and after robustness tests and endogeneity treatments such as replacing the measurement methods of explanatory variables and excluding samples from municipalities direct-ly under the Central Government,the conclusion still holds.Heterogeneity analysis results show that there are regional differences in the role of technology finance in improving the innovation efficiency of high-tech industries,with"eastern region>central re-gion>northeast region>western region"and"good development of artificial intelligence>average development of artificial intelli-gence".The results of the mediation effect test indicate that new quality productivity is an important mechanism for technology fi-nance to empower the innovation efficiency improvement of high-tech industries.The threshold effect test results show that the im-pact of technology finance on the innovation efficiency of high-tech industries has a non-linear characteristic of increasing mar-ginal effects.The moderation effect test results show that financial regulation can strengthen the role of technology finance in im-proving the innovation efficiency of high-tech industries.关键词
