Empirical Test of the Impact of New Quality Productivity on the International Competitiveness of Digital Service Trade

Abstract
New quality productivity,through technological innovation and industrial transformation,can lay a solid founda-tion for enhancing the international competitiveness of China's digital service trade in terms of technology and industry,which is of great practical significance for shaping new advantages in the international competition and leading the high-quality develop-ment of foreign trade.This paper selects the panel data of 292 cities in China from 2011 to 2022 as the research sample,and em-pirically investigates the impact effect of new quality productivity on the international competitiveness of digital service trade and the and transmission mechanism.The results show that the new quality productivity has a significant positive effect on the interna-tional competitiveness of digital service trade,and this core conclusion still holds true after a series of robustness tests and endoge-neity treatments,including sub-dimension tests,quantile regression and the addition of control variables.The mechanism test re-sults show that trade costs and the structure of human capital are the main transmission channels through which new quality pro-ductivity enhances the international competitiveness of digital service trade.The heterogeneity analysis results show that under different regional groups,the promotion effect of new quality productivity on the international competitiveness of digital service trade presents a distribution pattern of"eastern region>central region>western region>northeastern region".Under different groups of digital infrastructure construction level,the positive impact of new quality productivity on the international competitive-ness of digital service trade in cities with high level of digital infrastructure construction is more significant.关键词
