Design of an RBF-LMS hybrid post-equalizer
摘要
Abstract
To address the issue of Light Emitting Diode(LED)nonlinear distortion in Visible Light Communication Optical Orthogo-nal Frequency Division Multiplexing(O-OFDM)systems,a hybrid post-equalizer scheme based on Radial Basis Function(RBF)and Least Mean Square(LMS)algorithms is proposed.This scheme cascades an LMS-based equalizer with an RBF neural network to form a hybrid post-equalizer for mitigating LED nonlinear distortion.Initially,the LMS equalizer is employed to partially suppress the nonlinear distortion,followed by a secondary equalization process utilizing the RBF neural network.Compared to using a standalone RBF neural network for LED nonlinearity suppression,this proposed scheme enables rapid and accurate determination of the center points of the hid-den layer basis functions and achieves clear linear separation in high-dimensional space,thereby enhancing the equalization perfor-mance.Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed scheme is validated through Monte Carlo simulation methods.关键词
