Abstract

Objective To analyze the composition and distribution features of pathogens in the patients with other infectious di‑arrhea in Haidian District of Beijing from 2019 to 2024.Methods Fecal specimens from adults with diarrhea who visited three sentinel hospitals in Haidian District from 2019 to 2024 were collected for detection of seven pathogenic bacteria,and 887 samples were ex‑tracted for detection of 5 diarrhoea‑causing viruses by real‑time fluorescence quantitative PCR.Results AA total of 381 strains of pathogenic bacteria were detected in 1867 patients,with a positivity rate of 20.41%,of which diarrhea‑causing Escherichia coli was the most numerous,accounting for 45.41%(173/381),followed by Campylobacter,Salmonella and Vibrio parahaemolyticus,and the diarrhoea‑causing Escherichia coli subtypes were predominantly Escherichia coli agglutinative(EAEC),with a percentage of 45.66%(79/173);Campylobacter jejuni accounted for 78.49%of Campylobacter;Salmonella serotypes were predominantly Salmonella enteriti‑dis(45.33%);the predominant Vibrio parahaemolyticus serotype was O10:K4,and 94.29%of the strains carried virulence genes,tlh and tdh.Of the 887 samples sampled,298 tested positive for nucleic acid,with norovirus GII accounting for the highest proportion;the positive rate during the new crown period was lower than that during the non‑new crown epidemic period,and there was a statistically sig‑nificant difference in comparison between the two;the causative organisms were concentrated in the summer and autumn epidemic sea‑sons,and diarrhea‑causing viruses were mainly found in winter and spring.Conclusions Diarrhea‑causing Escherichia coli is the main causative organism among adults with diarrhea in Haidian District from 2019‑2024,with Campylobacter showing a significant upward trend,and diarrhea viruses are dominated by norovirus GII.
