Abstract

The development of velocity anomalies and fractures in subsurface media can result in directional anisotropy of the subsurface media.Multi-azimuth grid tomography can fully utilize offset gathers from different azimuth angles to perform tomographic inversion of the velocity field,effectively addressing the issue of azimuthal anisotropy in subsurface media and obtaining more accurate subsurface velocity fields.This approach also improves depth migration imaging,providing better seismic data for high-precision petroleum exploration.Since the widespread application of multi-azimuth grid tomography in the early 21st century,this technique has primarily been applied to onshore data in complex tectonic zones,resulting in significant improvements in the imaging of geological anomalies such as salt and volcanic rocks,and fractures.This study is the first to apply multi-azimuth grid tomography to marine OBN data,and during the application process,the structural trend of fracture development in the research area was investigated in advance,and the azimuth angles were divided based on the structural trend of fractures.The advantage of the OBN data with an aspect ratio of 1∶1 was fully utilized by discarding some far-offset seismic traces that formed a certain angle with the inline and crossline directions,thereby changing the distribution of shot-receiver offsets from a square to a circular shape,which made the coverage and offset distribution of the directional azimuthal gathers more consistent.Finally,after multi-azimuth grid tomography,the boundary between the metamorphic basement and the surrounding rocks in the research area was imaged more clearly and accurately,thereby improving the imaging accuracy of fractures and faults.The application of multi-azimuth grid tomography in similar marine data holds certain reference significance.
