Research Progress on Constituent Elements of Tobacco Quality

Abstract
Tobacco,as an economically important leafy crop,is widely cultivated and consumed world-wide.The quality of tobacco leaves directly affects the flavor and overall quality of tobacco products,making it a crucial factor in the development and market competitiveness of the tobacco industry.Therefore,comprehensive understanding of the components and regulatory mechanisms of tobacco leaf quality is of significant theoretical and practical significance.This article systematically reviews and analyzes the constituent elements related to tobacco leaf quality through a literature review,encompas-sing appearance,physical properties,smoke quality,and chemical composition.Additionally,it exam-ines the existing issues and deficiencies in current tobacco quality research.The article proposes utili-zing genomics and other biotechnological approaches to enhance germplasm and identify genes associ-ated with quality traits in tobacco.In addition,the diversification of market demand has prompted to-bacco quality research to shift towards reduced-harm and personalized products,necessitating more in-depth chemical composition analysis and smoke quality control.Moreover,optimizing the cultivation environments,scientifically managing soil and water,and applying precision agriculture technologies can help refine the chemical composition and sensory characteristics of tobacco leaves.In the future,research on tobacco quality will continue to deepen,with interdisciplinary collaboration and modern technology driving the sustainable development of the tobacco industry.This will meet the market's demand for high-quality tobacco and provide a reference for the development of the tobacco industry.关键词
