Abstract
To address the river connectivity issue after the completion of the Maerdang Hydropower Station,this study focuses on the de-sign of the fish lift system for the station.Based on research into the biological characteristics of fish and flow field simulation experi-ments,it investigates the characteristics of fish species targeted for passage,the flow field conditions downstream of the dam,the layout of the fish lift,and the design of transportation and release.The results show that the Maerdang fish lift system is equipped with two fish-collecting structures,respectively located at the downstream retaining wall of the dam and the left side of the outlet of Tailrace Tunnel No.2.The recommended value for fish-attracting flow velocity is 0.64~1.04 m/s,and the working water level range is 3 079.70~3 084.46 m.The research findings can provide a reference for the design of fish passage facilities in hydropower projects.关键词
