Abstract

Coal mining causes significant damage to the ecological environment and underground water resources.A thorough understanding of the relationship between ecological factors and terrain,and be-tween ecological factors and groundwater content in coal mining areas is crucial for ecological protection in the mining area.The apparent resistivity was measured to determine the groundwater content in Hong-shaquan Open-Pit Coal Mine,and the Pearson correlation coefficient was used to analyze the relationship of different ecological factors with terrain and groundwater content.The results show that as the distance from the mining pit increases,the apparent resistivity decreases,indicating that mining activities have led to a reduction in groundwater content,and its influence range is approximately 2 km.In the area close to the mining pit(such as survey line AA1),the correlation between deep groundwater and ecological fac-tors is higher than that between surface soil moisture content and ecological factors,and the correlation coefficients are all above 0.4.While on survey line BB1,which is farther from the mining pit,the ex-planatory power of surface soil moisture content for ecological factors is stronger,with the correlation coef-ficients of SI-T,NGLI,IRSEI and NDVI increasing by 18%,32%,662%and 22%,respectively.On survey line CC1 and EE1,the correlation between ecological factors and surface soil moisture content is higher than that on AA1 and BB1,indicating that mining disturbance has increased the sensitivity of eco-logical factors to soil moisture,making the ecosystem more vulnerable.The low-lying areas can improve the ecological quality and increase soil moisture content to some extent.The research results can provide a technical support for ecological protection and sustainable development in mining areas.
