Abstract

The magnetic field sensing element used in Hall current sensors is a semiconductor device,and the resistivity,mobility,and carrier concentration of semiconductor materials are temperature-dependent.It leads to variations in parameters such as Hall voltage,sensitivity coefficient,and internal resistance with temperature,thereby affecting the measurement accuracy of the sensor.In order to solve this problem,the parallel temperature compensation method is used to fully compensate the low order terms of temperature changes,but introduce errors in the high-order terms of temperature changes,which is an incomplete compensation and not suitable for working environments with large temperature changes.Based on the above compensation method,a feedback temperature compensation approach is proposed,which multiplies the compensated output voltage with the temperature compensation output signal,and then sums the product with the output signal of the Hall element to further improve the temperature characteristics of the Hall element and enhance the adaptability of the Hall current sensor to the environment.The simulation and experimental results show that the feedback temperature compensation method can eliminate the impact of temperature variations on Hall element parameters,thereby improving the measurement accuracy of the Hall current sensor and controlling the sensor's accuracy within 0.4%.
