基于用户自定义离散元模型的沥青混合料虚拟车辙试验
Virtual Rutting Test of Asphalt Mixtures Using a User-defined Discrete Element Model

Abstract
The permanent deformation behaviors of asphalt mixtures are closely related to their microscopic characteristics.The microscopic components of asphalt mixtures were reconstructed using the discrete element software PFC3D based on a user-defined discrete element model for asphalt mixtures,and the virtual specimens of asphalt mixtures for rutting test were de-veloped.The micromechanical models were employed to represent the interactions within the microscale components of virtu-al specimens of asphalt mixtures.Then the virtual rutting test of asphalt mixtures was conducted,and its variability was also verified.It is found that the deformation law of asphalt mixtures can be simulated accurately during virtual rutting test,and the test results were very closed to the laboratory measurements.The variability of virtual rutting test is significantly lower than the specification requirements.The microscopic components of asphalt mixtures can be conveniently and accurately modeled using the user-defined discrete element model for asphalt mixtures proposed in this paper,which will provide a new means for further investigating the microscopic characteristics of the permanent deformation behaviors of asphalt mixtures.关键词
