Geochemical Characteristics and Geological Significance of Trace Elements in No.8 Coal Seam of Yangquan Mining Area

Abstract
This paper selects the 8# coal seam in the Yangquan mining area of Qinshui coalfield as the research object,and systematically analyzes its trace element composition.According to the enrichment characteristics of rare earth elements(REE),the 8# coal seam in the study area is divided into class Ⅰ coal enriched with REE and class Ⅱ coal depleted with REE.Among them,class Ⅰ coal is characterized by enrichment of LREE,Li,Zr,Hf,etc.The feature that ash yield is positively correlated with trace elements,indicates that the effective input of inorganic minerals is the main reason for the enrichment of trace elements,and class Ⅰ coal is formed in acidic reduction environment under great influence of seawater.Compared with class Ⅰ coal,class Ⅱ coal is more enriched in Zr,Hf and deficient in Sr,Ba.This indicates that the influence of seawater is weakened during the sedimentation stage of class Ⅱ coal,that is,corresponding to a regressive process.The uplift of Yinshan ancient land may be the main dynamic mechanism leading to the regressive process.The retrograde causes a large range of surface rocks to emerge from the surface and suffer from strong weathering.The trace elements composition of 8# coal is controlled by the input of weathering products.The characteristics of trace elements indicate that the enrichment behavior of Li element in the sedimentary strata of the coal measures may be controlled by the input of inorganic products.The enrichment of lithium metal element in the 8# coal seam of Qinshui coalfield is accompanied by the enrichment of REE and class Ⅰ coal may have good ore-forming potential.关键词
