In the digital era,digital preservation has emerged as a pivotal approach for preserving sports-related intangible cultural heritage(ICH)along the Grand Canal.This study examines the digitization mechanism of sports ICH along the Grand Canal from four perspectives:the digital space environment,the digital industry model,digital management tools,and digital communication methods.The findings indicate that sports ICH along the Grand Canal encounters several challenges,such as uneven digital protection levels across regions and projects,inadequate digitization efforts,limited industrial innovation capabilities,and a mismatch between the supply and demand of digital products.To facilitate the inheritance of sports-related ICH along the Grand Canal in the digital era,it is advisable to establish a digital preservation mechanism that promotes regional linkage within the Grand Canal region.Moreover,a well-planned and structured database for sports-related ICH along the Grand Canal should be developed,with a focus on both digital technology advancement and cultural value exploration.Additionally,public participation activities that are closely aligned with the production and daily lives of the people should be conducted to promote sports-related ICH.
