摘要

Abstract

This paper systematically discusses the current research progress of in-situ sludge reduction technologies in activated sludge process-based wastewater treatment plants to reduce residual sludge generation,including the application of physical,chemical,biological or combined means to reduce sludge production from the source.Firstly,the in-situ sludge reduction technologies are categorized into:metabolic decoupling technology,lysosomal cryptic growth technology,and bio-enhancement technology.Then,the application of in-situ sludge reduction technology under conventional wastewater treatment process is discussed.Finally,the problems and prospects of in-situ sludge reduction technology in prac-tical application are envisioned.
