Efficacy of Qinjiao Cangzhu Decoction Combined with Mesalazine in Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis and Its Influence on Serum Inflammatory Factors

Abstract
Objective To study the efficacy of Qinjiao Cangzhu Decoction combined with mesalazine in the treatment of ulcerative colitis(UC)in the active phase and its influence on serum inflammatory fac-tors.Methods A total of 44 patients with UC in the active phase admitted to our hospital from Decem-ber 2022 to December 2023 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group,with 22 cases in each group.The control group was treated with mesalazine,while the observation group was additionally given Qinjiao Cangzhu Decoction on the basis of the treatment in the control group.The clinical efficacy and the serum levels of inflammatory factor indicators were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.0％,which was higher than 70.0％of the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of traditional Chinese medicine symp-toms,the modified Mayo score,erythrocyte sedimentation rate,C-reactive protein,tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin-1β and interleukin-18 levels in both groups decreased significantly,which were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the intestinal mucosa scores between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Qinjiao Cangzhu Decoc-tion combined with mesalazine can significantly relieve the clinical manifestations of UC patients,reduce the levels of inflammatory factors,and has a definite clinical efficacy.关键词
