Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of fruquintinib combined with chemotherapy on patients with recurrent and metastatic colorectal cancer and its influence on tumor markers.Methods A total of 62 patients with recurrent and metastatic colorectal cancer admitted to our hospital from October 2022 to March 2024 were randomly divided into a chemotherapy group and an observation group,with 31 cases in each group.Patients in the chemotherapy group were treated with chemotherapy alone,while patients in the observation group received fruquintinib combined with chemotherapy.The efficacy,changes of levels in carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)and carbohydrate antigen19-9(CA19-9)before and after treatment,ad-verse reactions,and the improvement rate of patients' quality of life after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the chemotherapy group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the levels of CEA and CA19-9 between the two groups before treatment(P＞0.05).After treatment,the levels of CEA and CA19-9 in both groups decreased significantly,which were significantly lower in the observation group than in the chemotherapy group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups after chemotherapy(P＞0.05).The improvement rate of the quality of life in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the chemotherapy group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Fruquintinib combined with chemotherapy has a good clinical effect in the treatment of recurrent and metastatic colorectal cancer,can significantly reduce the levels of tumor markers,improve the quality of life of patients,and the adverse reactions are tolerable for patients.关键词
