Objective To discuss the impact of socioeconomic status on the health of rural residents and to improve their health level.Methods Using data from the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS2020),with life-style and social expenditure as mediating variables,this study analyzed the impact mechanism of socioeconomic status on the health of rural residents.Results The higher the economic status,the more significant the improve-ment in health.Lifestyle affects the health level of rural residents.The health status of people who exercise regu-larly is better than that of people who do not exercise.Smoking is bad for health.Internet use can improve the health of residents.Both lifestyle and social support have partial mediating effects with socioeconomic status on health.Conclusions It is necessary to improve the income and education years of rural residents,guide them to exercise more,smoke less,and drink less,stabilize the payment standards of medical insurance for residents,in-crease government subsidies for medical insurance,and enhance trust between neighbors,which helps to improve the health of rural residents.
