Abstract

Building a strong agricultural nation is a crucial pillar for comprehensively advancing socialist modernization.Currently,agricultural and forestry universities,as vital forces in agricultural and rural modernization,face practical challenges such as insufficient interdisciplinary integration and an inefficient innovation mechanism.This study investigates the comprehensive reform efforts of Shandong Agricultural University,systematically expounding the theoretical basis and practical approach to promoting holistic university reform with discipline construction at its core.This is achieved through coordinated reform initiatives in seven key areas:internal governance,institutional mechanisms,discipline development,talent cultivation,education and teaching,scientific research and innovation,and technology transfer and application.The findings show that this model has effectively enhanced the university's capabilities to address national strategic needs,yielding remarkable achievements in food security,rural revitalization,and other fields.The exploration provides transferable experience for similar agricultural institutions struggling with fragmented reform efforts and inefficient resource allocation,offering significant reference for advancing the modernization of agricultural and forestry education in the new era.
