Development Status and Production Optimization Path of Xinjiang's Main Cotton Producing Areas under the Construction of Grain and Oil Reserve Bases

Abstract
Cotton is related to the national economy and people's livelihood of strategic materials,and is one of China's important cash crops,at the same time,Xinjiang's geographical advantage of the large area provides a convenient increase in food production and income.With the acceleration of the construction of the national grain strategic reserve base in Xinjiang in recent years,the grain-producing counties and the cotton advantage production areas have also accelerated their adjustment pace,focusing on the primary task of food security and guaranteeing the core main line of stable income for farmers.Xinjiang,as China's vast agricultural region,under the powerful push of the grain and oil reserve base,is actively guiding the sub-preferred cotton areas,low-quality and low-inefficient cotton fields gradually withdrew from the stage of the cotton market.The cotton planting area has been scientifically and reasonably reduced for grain and high-efficiency crops,which not only opens up the development of the road for the transformation and upgrading of the cotton industry in Xinjiang,but also injects strong impetus into the sustainable development of the grain and oil reserve base.However,in recent years,there are also problems such as high cost,poor production environment,high-difficulty in cotton technology innovation breakthroughs,and poor quality of machine-picked cotton and other problems in the main cotton-producing areas of Xinjiang.Based on the background of national efforts to implement the construction of grain and oil reserve base in Xinjiang,it is an optimization path to promote the optimization and adjustment of the structure of main cotton production areas in Xinjiang and achieve the high-quality development of cotton production in Xinjiang by reducing the cost of cotton planting,improving the production environment of cotton production areas,improving the innovation ability of high-quality cotton production technology,and improving the quality of machine-picked cotton.关键词
