Evolutionary game dynamics of recall strategies for new energy vehicles in the con-text of digital technology application

Abstract
Effective recall of defective vehicles holds significant strategic importance for enhancing consumer purchase intent and real-izing the high-quality development in China's new energy vehicle(NEV)industry.To clarify the impact of strategies from various stake-holders on the overall product recall event,this study first expands the previous two-party game-theory framework of the bilateral game between enterprises and regulatory authorities,as well as enterprises and consumers,by incorporating all three parties into a game mod-el concerning the recall of defective NEV products.It delves into the interference effects of decision outcomes from each stakeholder on other stakeholders,as well as the influencing factors of these decisions.Secondly,the study integrates digital technology into the evolu-tionary game model to analyze how the embedding of digital technology affects the strategies of the three stakeholders and the system's stable points.Finally,a simulation analysis is conducted to discuss the impact of key parameter changes under the application of digital technology on the evolutionary behaviors of the participants and the system's stable points.The results indicate that:① An ideal stable state exists within the evolutionary game system,where the strategy combination of the three stakeholders is{immediate recall,negotia-tion,lenient supervision}.② The application of digital technology can accelerate the speed at which enterprises choose the"immediate recall"strategy by increasing the trust benefits for enterprises and reducing the costs associated with immediate recalls,consumer com-plaints,and strict supervision by regulatory authorities.③ The integration of digital technology with industrial development can avoid the system falling into a"prisoner's dilemma"by enhancing the trust benefits obtained by enterprises and lowering the costs of immedi-ate recalls.Based on these findings,this study suggests that regulatory authorities utilize official channels to enhance enterprises'trust benefits,thereby strengthening their motivation to choose the immediate recall strategy.It is also recommended that enterprises deepen their digital transformation and collaborate with regulatory authorities to establish advanced digital platforms for real-time tracking of ve-hicles and precise data capture.Furthermore,both regulatory authorities and enterprises should actively listen to consumer feedback to ensure that defective vehicles are recalled promptly and effectively.This approach not only helps to enhance the positive image of enter-prises and strengthen their competitive advantages but also boosts consumer purchasing desire and confidence,thereby promoting the high-quality development of the new energy vehicle industry.关键词
