Abstract
The members of the Senior Management Group at the University of California,USA include the President/Chancellors,Vice Presidents/Chancellors,and important department heads at both the systemwide and campus levels.The compensation system is mainly based on a basic annual salary,supplemented by incentive awards and other allowances featuring transparent and well-defined policies,sound management practices,and reflecting the responsibilities and market value positioning of Senior Management Group.Its characteristics mainly include a structured salary framework with clear job levels,a market-oriented dynamic benchmarking mechanism for basic annual salary,a goal-oriented incentive award mechanism,an open supervision system,and a hierarchical approval process.While ensuring the standardized and rational use of public resources,it can motivate the management team to realize the strategic goals of the university,and achieve the balance between responsibility and reward and the balance between market competitiveness and internal fairness.As a typical public university in the United States,its experience has certain reference significance for the compensation governance of public universities and other public institutions.关键词
