Determination,functional properties and application of compounds of peony pollen

Abstract
Peony pollen was used as the raw material,and the contents of total polyphenols,total flavonoids,total polysaccharides,and total saponins were determined.The antioxidant capacities,including DPPH·,ABTS+·scavenging ability and Fe3+reducing power,as well as tyrosinase inhibition activity,were investigated.Additionally,the inhibitory effects of peony pollen on benign prostatic hyperplasia cells(BPH-1),inflammatory cells(RAW264.7),and prostate cancer cells(PC-3)were evaluated.The results showed that the contents of total flavonoids,total polyphenols,total polysaccharides,and total saponins in peony pollen were 14.94,18.53,171.08,and 71.66 mg/g,respectively.The results also indicated that peony pollen had excellent antioxidant ability,tyrosinase inhibiting ability and prostatic disease inhibiting effect.Utilizing the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of peony pollen,a peony pollen tablet candy was developed.An optimized formulation,determined through single-factor experiments,consisted of peony pollen 35%,maltitol 35%,microcrystalline cellulose 18%,sorbitol-citric acid 8%,mannitol 3%,and magnesium stearate 1%.The candies produced with this formula exhibited uniform color and optimal taste.关键词
