Abstract
Objective:This study aims to explore and establish a hospital drug management model for clinically urgently needed imported drugs(hereinafter referred to as"licensed drugs"),improve the management level of these drugs,and ensure clinical medication safety.Methods:In accordance with the regulatory requirements of the Hainan Provincial Drug Administration and the Hainan Provincial Health Commission,and drawing on the experience of drug quality control and special drug management in public tertiary grade A hospitals,a localized and drug-specific management system and process for licensed drugs were developed and implemented.The management outcomes before and after implementation were compared.Results:Joint warehousing acceptance by pharmacy storehouse pharmacists and licensed drug management specialists improved warehousing accuracy.The implementation of a daily reconciliation system effectively reduced discrepancies between inventory records and actual stock.Optimization of the drug dispensing process,combined with reasonable guidance and scheduling,significantly shorten patient waiting times and improved patient satisfaction.Adding a patient signature confirmation step before licensed drugs are taken out of the hospital effectively reduced disputes related to drug quantities.Conclusion:Due to the particular characteristics of licensed drugs,it is essential to adopt a specialized management model aligned with relevant regulatory requirements to ensure safe management and use.This ensures qualified patients have access to compliant medications.The dual-track hospital management model explored in this study may serve as a reference for other special medical zones and healthcare institutions managing licensed drugs.关键词
