Construction of a health education checklist for discharged children and their primary caregivers undergoing enterostomy

Abstract
Background Children undergoing intestinal stoma surgery need home rehabilitation until the primary disease is recovered,and the existing health education content,methods,and processes are not yet perfect.Objective To construct a list of health education for primary caregivers of children with colostomy after discharge,aiming to guide clinical medical staff to provide scientific and systematic health education for caregivers of children with colostomy,and help them recover smoothly.Design A cross-sectional survey.Methods By summarizing existing research evidence and combining semi-structured interviews with control nurses and clinical nurses,a preliminary draft of the discharge health education checklist was formed.The Delphi method was used for two rounds of expert consultation,and the items on the checklist were modified based on expert opinions.Main outcome measures Appropriateness and coefficient of variation of the inventory table of contents and content.Results The positive coefficients for both rounds of expert consultation were 100％;The authority coefficient of the expert group is 0.98;The coordination coefficient for the first round of directory and content entries was 0.046 and 0.067,respectively,while for the second round of directory and inventory entries it was 0.137 and 0.102,respectively,both P＜0.05.After two rounds of expert consultation,a discharge health education checklist for primary caregivers of children with colostomy was finally formed,which includes 7 directory entries and 20 content entries.Conclusion The discharge health education checklist for caregivers of children with colostomy constructed in this study is scientifically and practically sound,and can be applied to clinical nursing staff for health education.关键词
