Abstract
Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of levator palpebrae superioris complex folding and Levator palpebrae superioris shortening in the treatment of mild ptosis of the upper eyelid.Methods A total of 115 patients with mild ptosis admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the subjects.According to the surgical methods,they were divided into the experimental group and the control group.The control group underwent levator palpebrae superioris muscle shortening surgery,while the observation group underwent Levator palpebrae superioris muscle complex folding surgery.The corrective effects,eyelid functions,aesthetic scores and complications of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of correction in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After the treatment,the upper eyelid range of motion in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group,and the height of the palpebral fissure in the natural closed state of the eyelid was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The scores of upper eyelid contour,symmetry of double eyelid height and effect of double eyelid formation in the experimental group after the operation were all higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusions Compared with Levator palpebrae superioris muscle shortening surgery,levator palpebrae superioris complex folding surgery has a better effect in correcting mild ptosis of the upper eyelid,can improve eyelid function,achieve better aesthetic results,and has higher safety.关键词
