Biological informatics analysis of the role and prognostic value of the TRIM gene family in ovarian cancer

Abstract
Objective To systematically analyze the mechanism of tripartite motif(TRIM)family genes in the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer,and to explore their potential value in disease prognosis by using bioinformatics methods.Methods Based on public databases such as The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA),Genotype Tissue Expression(GTEX),and Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO),the mRNA expression profiles of TRIM family genes in ovarian cancer were studied to identify genes with significant differential expression that affect the prognosis of ovarian cancer.Further analysis was conducted on the mechanisms by which these genes contribute to the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer,their effects on tumor microenvironment alterations,their distribution characteristics in tumor tissues,and their diagnostic and prognostic value.Results The study found that the expression levels of TRIM24 and TRIM25 were lower in ovarian cancer tissues compared to normal ovarian tissues,while TRIM31 expression was higher in ovarian cancer tissues.However,the overall survival of ovarian cancer patients in the high expression groups of TRIM24 and TRIM25 was significantly longer than in the low expression groups,while the high expression group of TRIM31 had significantly shorter overall survival than the low expression group.Furthermore,the expression of these three genes was closely related to changes in the immune microenvironment and was widely distributed in epithelial-derived ovarian cancer tissues.Conclusion TRIM24,TRIM25,and TRIM31 play a dual role in the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer.They participate in the progression of ovarian cancer by altering the immune microenvironment and regulating inflammation.关键词
